The current Courtyard booking is the worst of both worlds — mid-priced ($12,341) and parked right in the peak Times Square Christmas gridlock, with mismatched beds (two rooms have a twin, awkward for families). Two clean upgrades:
Save the most: Sheraton Tribeca — $8,757, cuts $3,585, same bed setup in every room. Catch: it's downtown, a subway ride from the Midtown Christmas sights.
